We are pleased to announce the acquisition of Air Way Automation by Atlas Copco Tools and Assembly Systems, effective as of our closing date on 11/01/24. This acquisition allows Atlas Copco to significantly expand our feeder product portfolio and competence with an industry leader in Air Way Automation, which in turn allows us to strengthen our ability to serve as a strategic partner to our customers in automation. To ensure we best support you during transition, we have some critical actions we need you to take effective 11/1/24. As follows:
Commercial transactions (purchase requisitions, purchase orders, payments) must now be directed to Atlas Copco Tools & Assembly Systems, LLC. Payments are to be made as you do them with us today, and new payment remittance information is available upon request. Please contact acta.inquiries@atlascopco.com for this information if it has not already been provided. On open purchase orders, we are contacting you to discuss how to complete those transactions.
New purchase orders for Air Way scope must include only Air Way scope – IE: we cannot yet accept purchase orders for mixed Air Way and preexisting Atlas Copco scope. This is necessary to avoid disruption in our support to you prior to us fully integrating as explained below.
Beyond the above, our Air Way team will continue to operate as it has prior during transition to ensure we maintain business continuity and customer satisfaction. Thus, if you are a current Air Way customer there will be no change to who you should interact with at Air Way (proposals, service, project, and accounting teams, other) unless we inform you otherwise. If you aren’t a current Air Way customer, we will start applying Air Way feeders in our solutions when they are the right product for your needs, and we will support you as we see fit to optimize customer satisfaction.
It is our priority in the short-to-mid-term to ensure we secure the business with customer satisfaction while also ensuring a great employee experience for our new colleagues. In the long term, we plan to further integrate the business in a way that best leverages synergies and takes full advantage of the competence and capability Air Way has developed. We will not though rush the long-term vision at the risk of the short-to-mid-term needs, so we appreciate your patience during transition.
